Landscaping Crew Shirts
Custom landscaping shirts for the crews who mow, plant, prune and plow. Olive Branch Apparel prints and embroiders tees, long sleeves, hoodies and hats for landscaping companies, lawn care operators, tree services and snow removal crews of any size.
Put your logo on a heavyweight cotton tee in the studio below and see your price change as you set the crew count. There is no minimum order, so a solo operator with one truck orders the same way a company running ten does.
Design Your Landscaping Shirts Here
Upload your company logo, choose a shirt color and watch the price for your custom landscaping shirts update as you change the quantity. The studio opens on a heavyweight cotton tee that stands up to a season of mowing, and hoodies and hats are a click away.
Choose Your Shirt Color Before Your Logo Size
Owners usually start with the logo and pick a shirt color in the last ten seconds. For landscaping shirts the color is the bigger decision. It decides how the crew looks at three in the afternoon, how long each shirt stays presentable and how easily a client spots your people on the property.
Colors That Hide the Work
Grass stain, mulch dye, bar oil and red clay all end up on a shirt by lunch. Mid tones hide them best. Forest green, charcoal, navy and brown stay presentable far longer than white, light gray or tan, which show every wipe of a glove.
Dark shirts have a cost in July. Black and navy absorb heat in full sun, and they show dried sweat as pale salt lines across the back. A medium green or a heathered charcoal is a common compromise, dark enough to hide stains and light enough to work in.
Colors That Get Noticed
Bright safety green and safety orange tees are popular with mowing and tree crews because they stand out against a lawn and help a homeowner see who is on site. They also make a small company look organized from the street, which matters when the neighbors are watching.
Be clear about what those shirts are. We do not make ANSI rated hi-vis garments, and a bright safety colored tee is not rated safety gear. If your crew works along a roadway or a job requires rated apparel, wear a rated vest over the shirt.
Once the color is settled, the logo follows easily. A bold one color print in white or black suits nearly every shirt color above, costs less than a multicolor design and can be reordered on a different shirt color next season without new artwork.

Price Your Crew Shirts Without a Phone Call
Set the quantity, add a back print or a hoodie, and see your price in the studio as you go. You will know where you stand before you talk to anyone.
One Shirt Is Fine
There is no minimum order. Buy a single shirt for a midseason hire or outfit every crew at once, and see the per-piece price drop in the studio as the count goes up.
See It Before It Prints
Every order gets a proof showing logo size, placement and ink color on your chosen shirt. Nothing is printed until you approve it, so the box holds no surprises.
Rough Logos Welcome
A truck decal photo, a business card or a sketch is enough. We clean up or redraw rough logos so the lines stay crisp in ink and in thread.
Call and Ask
A person answers the phone on weekdays from 9am to 5pm Mountain. Call from the truck between jobs and get a direct answer about garments, timing or artwork.
When to Order Custom Landscaping Shirts
Lawn care shirts wear out on a schedule, and the work changes with the weather. Tie your orders to the season instead of waiting until the crew looks ragged, and you will rarely make a rushed decision or send a new hire out in a plain tee.
Order before the first cuts, while hiring is still under way. Allow about 14 days after proof approval and include extra shirts in common sizes for hires you have not made yet.
By the hottest weeks the spring shirts are faded and stained. A smaller second run keeps the crew presentable through the busiest stretch, and it can use the same approved artwork.
Long sleeve tees and hoodies take over for leaf work and aeration. Order them while it is still warm so they are on the shelf when the first cold morning arrives.
Plow drivers and shovel crews spend long hours outside or in the cab. Beanies and heavyweight hoodies with the company name keep the brand visible when everything else is covered up.
A workable rule is several shirts per person for the mowing season, so nobody wears the same one two days running, then a cold weather layer each. Because there is no minimum order, you can top up a few pieces whenever someone joins midseason.
What Custom Landscaping Shirts Have to Survive
A landscaping shirt has a harder life than almost any other work tee. It is soaked with sweat, coated in clippings and dust, snagged on branches and washed after every wear. Plan the fabric and the print around that, and accept that one mowing season is a reasonable lifespan.
Heavyweight cotton is comfortable, affordable and takes ink well, which is why it is the default for crew tees. Cotton and polyester blends dry faster and hold their color longer in the sun. Thin performance fabrics are cooler still, though they snag more easily on thorny brush.
Screen printing is the right method for most crew orders. The ink bonds firmly to the fabric, survives constant washing and gets cheaper per shirt as the quantity grows. A one or two color logo keeps the cost down and reads better from the curb than a detailed full color design.
Direct-to-film handles full color logos and very small runs well, such as three shirts for a new foreman. Whatever the method, a large solid block of print on the back traps heat against the skin. For summer shirts, use open lettering and outlines rather than a filled panel.
Embroidery belongs on hats, polos and hoodies. It looks sharp on an estimator's polo and lasts as long as the garment does. On a thin tee it puckers, and against sweaty skin the backing can itch, so keep stitched logos for the heavier pieces.
Outfitting Several Crews at Once
Send the head count, the garments you want and your startup date. We will put together a quote for the full order and tell you plainly whether standard turnaround fits.
Lawn Care Uniforms That Advertise for You
Your crew spends the whole day in front yards, in plain view of every neighbor on the street. Those neighbors are the most likely next clients you have. Lawn care uniforms are the cheapest advertising a company owns, provided someone can actually read them from the sidewalk.
Put the company name large across the upper back, where it stays visible while someone is bent over a bed or walking behind a mower. Under it, add one way to reach you. A phone number or a web address, not both, in lettering thick enough to read at a glance.
Skip the list of services. Mowing, mulching, pruning, irrigation and hardscaping in small type turns into a gray smudge from across a lawn, and small text is the first thing to fill in with ink. The name, a simple mark and the contact line carry the message.
The left chest takes a small version of the logo for face to face moments at the door. If the logo has fine detail such as leaf veins or thin script, a simplified chest version prints cleaner. We clean up or redraw artwork for that, and you see it on your proof.
Consistency does more than any single design choice. A crew in matching shirts and hats reads as an established company, and a client is more comfortable opening the gate for people who are clearly identified. That holds for a two person outfit as much as a large one.
Landscaping Shirt Questions
Is there a minimum order for custom landscaping shirts?
No. You can order a single shirt, which helps when you hire one person in June. The per-piece price drops as the quantity goes up, so it usually pays to order the season's custom landscaping shirts in one run. The design studio shows your price at any quantity before you order.
How many shirts should each crew member get?
Enough that nobody wears the same shirt two days in a row during mowing season. Outdoor work in heat means a shirt needs washing after every wear, and rotating several spreads out the fading and staining. Add a few spares in your most common sizes for new hires and for shirts that get torn or lost.
What shirt color is best for a landscaping crew?
Mid tones such as forest green, charcoal and navy hide grass and dirt stains well. Very dark shirts run hot in direct sun, and very light ones show everything. If being seen matters more than hiding stains, a bright color stands out on a property. You can preview your logo on different shirt colors in the studio.
Should crew shirts be screen printed or embroidered?
Screen print the tees and hoodies, and embroider the hats and polos. Printed ink handles daily washing and costs less per piece on a crew order. Embroidery looks polished on heavier garments but puckers on thin tees. A common setup is a printed tee for the crew and an embroidered polo for whoever meets clients.
How long does it take to get our shirts?
Standard turnaround is about 14 days from the day you approve the proof. For spring startup, get the order in while you are still hiring rather than the week before the first cut. If your date is tight, ask. Sometimes an order can be finished faster, and we will tell you honestly what is possible.
Can you fix a logo that only exists on our truck?
Yes. Send a clear photo of the truck door, a business card or whatever file you have. We clean up or redraw rough logos so they print well on custom landscaping shirts, and you see the cleaned up version on a proof and approve it before anything is printed.
Do you ship outside Colorado?
Yes. The shop is in Fort Collins, Colorado, and orders ship across the United States. Have the boxes sent to wherever someone can receive them during the day, since a crew out on its route will miss a delivery to an empty shop or yard.
Can we reorder the same shirts later in the season?
Yes, and with no minimum order a reorder can be as small as you need. Tell us you want the same design, pick sizes and quantity, and the standard turnaround of about 14 days from proof approval applies. Keeping one consistent design makes midsummer replacements of your custom landscaping shirts quick to arrange.
