Design Your Vacation Shirts Here
Put your family name, the year or the destination on a real shirt, set the quantity, and watch the price for custom family vacation shirts update live. The studio opens on a heavyweight garment-dyed tee, loved for its soft, lived-in feel and relaxed, slightly faded colors that suit a beach or a boardwalk.
Custom Family Vacation Shirts Are for Finding Each Other
Matching shirts look like a photo idea, and they are. Their more useful job is practical. In an airport, a cruise terminal or a crowded boardwalk, a group in the same color can count heads at a glance. A grandparent can spot the grandchildren from across a plaza, and a child who wanders knows exactly which shirts to look for.
That makes color the first decision, ahead of the artwork. Choose something that stands apart from what crowds usually wear. Black, navy and plain white disappear in a busy terminal. A clear coral, a bright teal, a sunny yellow or a strong green is visible from a distance and still looks good in pictures against sand and water.
Then decide which day the shirts are for. Most groups pick one or two, such as travel day and the day of the group photo, because laundry on a trip is limited. Knowing the day tells you the garment. A travel day in a cold airport suits a heavier tee, while a beach day in humid heat calls for a lighter color or a tank top.
Garment-dyed tees deserve a short explanation. They are dyed after sewing and washed soft, which gives the relaxed, slightly weathered color people love. It also means the shade varies a little from shirt to shirt, and that is normal. They are thick, so they shrug off a week in a suitcase but feel warm in tropical sun.

See What the Whole Family Will Cost
Set the quantity in the studio and watch the price per shirt settle.
Any Size Family
There is no minimum order. A couple can order two shirts and a large extended family can order for everyone, and the per-piece price drops as the quantity goes up.
Names Checked First
You see a proof and approve it before printing, so the family name, the year and every personalized shirt can be read over while changes are still easy.
A Price for the Group Chat
Build the shirt in the studio and the price appears as you go. Share a real figure with the family before anyone commits, with no waiting on a callback.
Sketches Welcome
A phone doodle or a rough idea of an anchor and a family name is enough. We clean up or redraw rough art so it prints cleanly.
When to Order Shirts Before a Trip
A vacation has a departure date that will not move, and the shirts have to be in a suitcase before it. Working backward from that day keeps the order calm. The stages below are a sensible order of events for most family groups.
Float the idea in the family group chat and settle on a color and a rough design while everyone is still excited and replying to messages.
Set a deadline for sizes and stick to it. Children grow between booking and boarding, so ask parents to go up a size for anyone still growing.
Standard turnaround is about 14 days from proof approval. Approve with weeks to spare, leaving room for shipping and a wash before packing. Check every name on it.
Wash the shirts once, try them on, and hand them out before departure. A shirt discovered to be too small at the gate cannot be swapped.
If your trip is closer than that, call and ask before ordering. Sometimes an order can be done faster, and we will tell you plainly whether your date fits.
Designing Cruise Shirts and Trip Tees
The designs that age best are specific. The family name, the year and the place, such as a coastline, a lake or a mountain town, turn a shirt into a record of that trip. Cruise shirts often add an anchor, a ship's wheel or a wave. Keep the main line large enough to read in a group photo taken from across a deck.
Personal touches are popular, and they change how the shirt is made. A role on each shirt, such as grandma, the navigator or the birthday girl, means every print is different. Screen printing needs identical prints to be efficient, so one-off names are usually added with direct-to-film, which handles a different design on every shirt without extra setup.
Do not borrow from the destination. Cruise lines, theme parks and resorts own their names, logos, lettering styles and characters, and we cannot print them or close imitations. A design built from your own family name, the year and general travel imagery is yours to keep and reprint for the next trip.
Sun, salt and sunscreen are hard on clothes. Sunscreen can leave marks on white and very pale fabric, so mid-tone colors are forgiving. Wash printed shirts inside out in cool water and skip the hot dryer when you can. Both screen prints and DTF prints last far longer treated that way, well past the trip itself.
One note on the range. We do not make swimwear, rash guards, beach towels or tote bags, which families sometimes want to match. We do make t-shirts, long sleeve tees, tank tops, polos, hoodies, hats and beanies, so there is something for the beach, the plane and a cool evening on deck.

Tell us your departure date and group size, and we will tell you plainly whether it fits.
Ordering Custom Family Vacation Shirts for a Big Group
Every group trip has one organizer, and the shirts usually land on the same person. Make it easier on yourself by offering the family one design and one color, not a vote on five. Ask for a size and a yes or no by a set date. People who miss the deadline can still be added, since there is no minimum.
Sizing a family means sizing every age at once. Check the size range for your chosen garment in the studio before promising a shirt to the smallest and tallest members. When in doubt, go a size up. A roomy tee is comfortable in the heat and fits over a swimsuit, while a tight one stays in the suitcase.
Money is simpler with a figure in hand. The studio shows the price as you change the quantity, so you can tell each household what their share comes to before placing the order. The price per piece drops as quantity goes up, so one combined family order costs less per shirt than each household ordering alone.
Have the box sent to whoever is least likely to be traveling early, and bring a couple of spare shirts in common sizes. Someone always spills breakfast on travel day or decides at the last minute that they want one after all. If you only have a rough idea, send it. We clean up or redraw rough art so it prints well.
Vacation Shirt Questions, Answered
Is there a minimum order for custom family vacation shirts?
No. There is no minimum on custom family vacation shirts, so a family of three can order three. The price per piece drops as quantity goes up, which is a good reason to gather every household on the trip into one order. You can see the price for any quantity in the design studio.
How early should we order before the trip?
Standard turnaround is about 14 days from the day you approve the proof, and you will want time for shipping, a wash and packing after that. Starting a month or more ahead is comfortable for most families. If you are closer than that, call and ask, because sometimes an order can be done faster.
Can each shirt have a different name on it?
Yes. Personalized names or roles are usually printed with direct-to-film, which can produce a different design on every shirt. The shared artwork can be screen printed or DTF depending on the quantity and colors. Send the list of names with the order, then check every spelling on the proof before you approve it.
What shirt color works best for a cruise or beach trip?
Pick a bright, clear color that is easy to spot in a terminal or on a busy pier, and that suits the weather. Lighter and mid-tone colors stay cooler in direct sun than black or navy. For family cruise shirts, coral, teal, yellow and sky blue are all easy to find in a crowd and photograph well.
Can you print a cruise line or theme park logo on our shirts?
No. Those names, logos and characters belong to the companies that own them, and we cannot print them or lookalikes. Custom family vacation shirts work just as well with your own family name, the year, the destination as a place name and general imagery such as waves, palms, anchors or mountains.
Will the print survive the pool, the ocean and the wash?
Screen prints and DTF prints both hold up well to normal wear and washing. Chlorine, salt and strong sun are tough on any fabric over time, so rinse shirts after swimming in them and wash inside out in cool water. Over a week away, the print is rarely the first thing to show wear.
Do you make matching tank tops, hats or hoodies?
Yes. Along with matching vacation shirts we make long sleeve tees, tank tops, polos, hoodies, hats and beanies, so each person can wear what is comfortable. We do not make swimwear, rash guards or towels. Hats are usually embroidered, which suits a short family name or a year better than detailed art.
Can the shirts ship to family members in different states?
We ship across the United States from Fort Collins, Colorado. The simplest plan is one order to the organizer, who hands shirts out at the airport or on the first night. If your group is flying in from several places and needs separate deliveries, call on a weekday between 9am and 5pm Mountain and ask what is possible.
